Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actor, singer and writer. She was raised by her mother in the USA. She was subjected to racial insults, she was felt unloved. When she went to an event at school and was given the highest praise for her singing at the age of 9 the young girl started to gain confidence. The experience not only increased the confidence of her, but also changed the direction she pursued in her professional career. When she was 22 she was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School. In 1993 she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was titled You've got Mail. The character of The Lad of The Lake was her most memorable success, and earned herself an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her performance. Later in the same year she was cast in the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider acceptance for the role. Apart from having a cult following as a singer, she released a solo as well as an extended version. Additionally, she works as an LGBT activist.
