Lita Rossana Ford (also called Lita Ford, is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Britain. She played lead guitar for The Runaways, a hard-rock group made up of females in the late 1970s. Their punkish music and rebellious lyrics got them recognized by the rock world. While the group did not achieve much success in America, they were hugely popular in other countries. That was the case especially in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career following the band's was disbanded in 1979. Following vocal training, she released her solo debut album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin on the Edge'. Ford disappeared from rock for some time after the albums did not become popular. It was 1988 when she debuted her most successful album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both were huge hits. The popularity of her was temporary, and she was gone for a couple of years. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland just 15 years later, she returned. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
