Lisa Olivia Munn is a resident of Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid is of Chinese descent and lived in Vietnam. Her father Winston Barrett Munn is from an American family with deep roots in America's South. Olivia was only two when her parents separated. Her family consisted of her stepfather and mother, both of whom who was also a United States Air Force member. The family stayed throughout the world, her principal home is Tokyo, Japan. In this period, Olivia was a part of several theater productions. In later years, she became an Japanese model. Olivia, who had been living with her parents in Los Angeles in order to fulfill her desire to become an actress was determined to pursue her goal after the family moved back to America. Following a series of minor roles, Olivia found success after she was cast as Mily Acua in the Hawaii filming of the TV series Beyond the Break 2006 and the role of receptionist for Rob Schneider. She hosts the podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut" along with "The Daily Nut". It is her favorite pastime to surf, and she has been practicing since the television show Beyond the Break (2006). She also holds an unofficial black belt in Taekwondo. Her mother got married when she was just two years old to an Air Force Officer. While the family was relocated numerous times, the vast majority of her time was spent in Tokyo Japan which was the place where her stepfather worked for the military. She attended at the University of Oklahoma where she was a journalism major with minors of Japanese and dramatic art.
