Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly Schmid is of Chinese heritage and was born within Vietnam. Her father Winston Barrett Munn is from an American family which has long-standing roots in the American South. The couple split at the age of 2 years old. Her mother raised her along with her stepfather, who is a United States Air Force officer. She was raised primarily in Tokyo, Japan, even although the family moved a lot. At the time, she was a part of several theater productions. Then she was a Japanese model. Olivia moved into Los Angeles when her family had came back in her home in the United States to follow her aspirations of becoming an actress. Following a handful of small performances and a few small roles, her career took off on a very promising turn when she landed the role as Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed television series Beyond the Break (2006) and the role of Rob Schneider's receptionist in Big Stan (2007). She hosts podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut" along with "The Daily Nut". It is her favorite pastime, and she practices it since the TV series Beyond the Break (2006). She is also a black-belt in Taekwondo. In the year she turned two old her mother remarried but this time to one of the US Air Force. Her family was primarily from Tokyo, Japan where her stepfather worked. University of Oklahoma. Majored and minored Japanese and the Dramatic Arts.
