Silk was born Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk was a well-known actress, director and producer who taught the course at St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter who was a renowned academic. Anna recalls her mother's work and attending play rehearsals. Silk featured in a number of commercials when she was a kid. In 1997, she received a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas produced at least Two early productions: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in November 1999 to Los Angeles during the next decade. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, when they met during an Actors' Workshop located in Los Angeles. When they got engaged in 2008, they married in the year 2009. The couple renewed their vows on April 10, 2011, in Fredericton following the wedding, when the bride was converted to Judaism.
