Silk was born Silk was born in Fredericton (New Brunswick), Canada. Ilkay Silk was an acclaimed actor, producer and director and also a professor in St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter an academic with a reputation for excellence. Anna recalls her mother's work as a play director and also attending rehearsals. Silk created a variety of commercials while she was still a kid. Silk graduated from St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two plays in the early years: Seven Menusand The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in the month of November 1999, and moved to Los Angeles during the next decade. Seth Cooperman met Silk at the Actors Workshop in Los Angeles in 2007. They were legally married in December of 2009.
